I am a woman focused photographer and empowerment artist. What I love most about what I do is how I make my clients feel: seen, celebrated and empowered in their authenticity at every stage of life.
I see you, you are beautiful just the way you are.
Shannon contacted me about booking a boudoir session following the end of a difficult relationship. She was finally moving on, focusing on rebuilding her confidence and rediscovering the beautiful, strong, intelligent, powerful woman that she has been all along.
Shannon and I had a great conversation during our discovery call, and together, we crafted an exciting session idea. She was drawn to the concept of a Boudoir in the Wild photoshoot, set against the backdrop of serene backwoods and captivating waterfalls in what locals affectionately call “God’s Country.”
The next time Shannon and I met was during her Style and Concept Consultation. Here we solidified plans for her shoot, planned outfits, and looked at her intimate items. My clients love this because they are prepared for their session, and we get to know each other before the actual photoshoot.
The day of her session was a perfect Vermont day. Shannon began her experience with professional hair and makeup artistry, so she was feeling like the best version of herself before the session even began. Now, this shoot was wild. Our first stop was a waterfall and lagoon off a back dirt road. Here, we began her session with a revealing sensual gown that we fully planned to get wet! The images created here were so beautiful and delightful; it was the perfect way to warm up for the more intimate portraits we would take at our next location.
Now, Shannon was instructed to wear hiking footwear and comfortable clothing for the journey that we would need to take to get to our next location. All of her intimate items were stored in a backpack that she carried as we began our descent into what can only be described as a magical, exclusive, and private location. Shannon moved among the lush greenery of the forest and then hiked up a river to two different waterfalls. The first waterfall is surrounded by boulders and rugged tree limbs that had been caught up during our last big storm, while the other waterfall is a more majestic falls with a lagoon, and one is certainly tempted to take a quick dip at the end of the session.
We were surrounded only by our own conversation and the nurturing sounds of nature. As the session progressed, Shannon became fully immersed in her empowerment adventure, the poses flowing more naturally as she let down her walls and looked within for guidance.
As you can see every session has its own story. Every woman has her own reasons for wanting to invest in this kind of experience. This day was a special day for Shannon, a wonderful experience to be cherished on her journey of self-discovery and rebirth.
