I am a woman focused photographer and empowerment artist. What I love most about what I do is how I make my clients feel: seen, celebrated and empowered in their authenticity at every stage of life.
I see you, you are beautiful just the way you are.
Knowing that with the birth of our twins I would no longer be having more children, I decided to invest in maternity and family photos to document this special time in our lives.
I have to admit, I’m not in love with having my photo taken and I struggle with how I look as I age and the way that my body looks when it’s not just the way that I like it. I also have to admit, I don’t like letting my walls down and getting vulnerable either (for the best outcome with photos, intimacy and venerability must play a part).
I spent several days researching photographers for this session. I wanted to support a women in business. I wanted to love and admire her work and I wanted to like her.
I coordinated our outfits, packed up the truck with snacks and drove several hours to a beautiful field just before sunset. The experience was lovely, the photographer was caring and great with children, she was also skilled and loving. This time and money was well spent, as it was quality time with my growing family, time with my kids who will never be this little ever again, and time to connect my loving husband and partner.
As a woman focused empowerment artist, I believe that every woman is beautiful and worthy of being celebrated and I know that I am beautiful and worthy too, even though I have moments of insecurity and doubt.
The final result? I love the photos from our family session. I love the moments that were captured. The images remind me of how lucky I am to have found my tribe, my family of 7. Looking at them, I know that time is fleeting then and I consider and then reconsider how I spend my time. This session marks a season, and now that season is already gone and I’m onto the next, life with newborn twins:).
If you are considering a boudoir session, or beauty session or to spend some time capturing you and your littles, I encourage you to book it. Unlike most things that we buy, photos increase in value as time goes on.
With love,
xoxo
